Free Canvas Training on August 15 through 19.

Canvas SummerFest II scheduled for August 15–19.

ITS Training Services’ second SummerFest this year is open for registration, and the focus is Canvas, Penn State’s new learning management system, and LionPATH, Penn State’s new student information system set to replace ISIS and eLion. This week-long lineup of free, online training is a great opportunity to introduce yourself to Canvas at Penn State, learn some tips on how to use the gradebook, or chat with faculty on the fundamentals of Canvas as well as get an overview of LionPATH.  For LionPATH, the sessions are an overview of the the Faculty Center and the Advisor Center. The LionPATH Faculty Center is for faculty and staff with teaching responsibilities, and the session will cover how to view teaching schedules, class rosters, and other academic information. The LionPATH Advisor Center allows faculty and staff with advising responsibility to view information that is needed to monitor and evaluate how students are progressing toward degree completion.

Held from August 15–19, the week before the fall semester begins, this training comes at the perfect time to make the upcoming fall the most effective and enjoyable that it can be. For faculty members and instructors interested in making the transition as easy as possible, Canvas SummerFest is for you! Each session is completely free and online which means you can learn from your home, your desk, or wherever is best for you.  To register for a class, simply click on the session title below.
